Petrochemical Corporation of Singapore (Private) Limited (PCS) is incorporated in 1977 as a 50-50 joint venture between the Singapore Government and the Japan-Singapore Petrochemicals Co Ltd (JSPC), a consortium led by Sumitomo Chemical. Its present shareholders are (1) JSPC (50%) and (2) QPI and Shell Petrochemicals (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. (QSPS) (50%).
PCS provides a reliable supply of olefins, aromatics and other petrochemical products to various pipeline-customers which extend beyond Merbau to Seraya, Sakra and Tembusu on Jurong Island.
PCS also supplies utilities such as seawater, steam, compressed air and provides common facilities and services such as berths, security and fire fighting services to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the Complex.
